Amine Fatmi is a French writer and filmmaker, born in Paris. He obtained his master's degree in radio and television at the University of Paris-8 and afterwards he worked as a radio producer for the French radio station France Culture. From 2000 to 2007, he worked as the editor of the "culture" section of the daily newspaper "Le Monde". He is currently a member of the editorial team of Le Figaro Magazine and contributes regularly to "La Tribune" and "Elle"
He has authored a number of books on cinema, societies, and politics. His most recent book, entitled L'Autre France: Un portrait des Français d'origine maghrébine et africaine (translated into English as The Other France: A Portrait of French Citizens of Moroccan and Black Origin), was published in 2011 by Actes Sud, an imprint of La Découverte.
